What does one of our latest hires say?

Pedro Mendes
Assistant Professor at DEQ
Three years of my assistant professorship, I am quite happy with the opportunity to work at DEQ: got the initial time to adapt, brainstorm and develop strong project proposals, which some were now approved. For the first two years, start-up funds and research centre funds supported my research independence. Responsibility grew sustainably and came along with freedom to develop a new course unit, while enjoying the teaching in other course units.
